Mr Sarabjeet Singh is currently a teacher at Meridian Junior College. Subjects he teaches include Geography and Project Work. He is also a Teacher Advisor to student leaders at MJC.
Sarabjeet serves at the Young Sikh Association Singapore (YSA) in the capacity of Vice-President (Community Relations). Sarabjeet first joined YSA as a volunteer for Project Khwaish VI in 2006. He continues to assist with Project Khwaish and has been involved in organising various platforms such as the YSA Ministerial Dialogues and the Khwaish Lecture Series for youth to engage preeminent leaders from various sectors. Sarabjeet was one of the editors of the SG50 commemorative publication by YSA titled, Singapore at 50 – 50 Sikhs and their contributions.
Sarabjeet is also a committee member of the SINDA Youth Club (SYC) since 2014. He has organised and been a facilitator for various SYC programmes to include the SINDA Youth Leaders Seminar (SYLS) and Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS). In 2015, Sarabjeet was curator for the first ever Indian Youth Community Hackathon to provide solutions for community challenges as part of SYLS 2015.
Sarabjeet graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2011 with First Class Honours. He majored in Geography and minored in South Asian Studies at the university’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. As a recipient of various university level and national academic awards, and for demonstrating outstanding overall achievement, he was selected to represent his graduating cohort as valedictorian
