Sembawang Sports Club organised its annual 9-a-side football tournament on 25 August 2013 to raise funds for Down Syndrome Association Singapore (DSA). True to its belief and focus on helping the needy in our community, YSA participated in the event for third consecutive year. Held at the Singapore Indian Association, the event attracted 16 teams.

A team of 18 young Singaporeans spent an extraordinary three weeks out of their comfort zones by building a library, and cleaning, refurbishing and painting a school in a village in India. The participants were part of Project Khwaish XII, YSA’s community service project from 6 to 26 December 2012. The word “Khwaish” means “Hope”
